- Cabinet doors, drawers and hardware are removed.
- Kitchen is masked and tented off to keep dust minimal
- Cabinets are cleaned and sanded well
- Area is ventilatted while spraying finish
- Cabinets are sprayed with a proper stain blocking primer to prevent prior stains from bleeding through
- Primer is sanded flat and smooth for a factory like finish
- Topcoats are sprayed after primer has properly blocked the stains
- Cabinet doors, drawers and hardware are reinstalled
- Most kitchens are completed in about 1 week.

I’m Raymond, owner of Homestead Cabinet Design. Thanks for visiting my website. Let me give a brief introduction to myself and my business.
I’ve been in the cabinet industry for over 20 years with experience in design, building, finishing and installing custom cabinets. I worked in a high end cabinet shop for years where I gained most of my experience.
In 2019, I quit my job and started my own business in refinishing and refacing cabinetry. I also do a lot of cabinet additions as well as completely new kitchens.
I work mostly by myself with some help from my son who is an apprentice. I don’t have employees, but I do team up with other professional contractors who build cabinets for me, spray cabinet doors, and help with cabinet installations as this is often a 2 man job.
My expertise is in kitchen design, building and spraying cabinetry. I’ve recenty collaborated with CY Cabinet painters in Westfield, MA who do a lot of my spray painting in their shop. We’ve worked together on a lot of projects where I provide new doors, drawers, hardware and installation, and Jim from CY Cabinet painters does the spray finishing. We make a great team, and both of us get lots of positive reviews!
